My Little Trip to Cali

I like to bake.
One thing i like to do in my spare time is bake. Since i don't typically have that much spare time i took advantage of my vacation and made some donuts :)
aren't they cute?

Since i turned eighteen i have been DYING to do something rebellious that only people over the age of eighteen can do. I have always wanted to pierce my belly button but since that is a little extreme i just bought a dollar lottery ticket. It went pretty well! I won two dollars and almost won fifty. I never got around to cashing it in though... And now i'm kind of regretting that i didn't get my two dollars.

This is Buster and anyone that knows me knows that i love my dog!! He is the cutest thing ever. He totally remembered me too because when i got to our house i saw the most excited dog you could ever imagine!!

Stumbled upon this... I love it.

Only out of deep experience af love, sweet and bitter, pleasant and painful, high and low, heaven and hell, only out of deep experience of pain and pleasure through love does one become aware. They are needed to make you aware

Three Hours of Sleep?

Last night i made the great choice to go hot tubbing with some friends at about ten. We ended up playing a great round of the question game and so we didn't leave until about eleven thirty. We were prunes to say the least. Normally this would be no problem but i had to wake up at five this morning to catch an early flight to California. And normally this wouldn't be much of a problem except that i now not only had to go back to Katelyn's and change, but then stop by Heathers, go all the way home, shower, and pack. I ended up falling asleep at about two. So when i woke up at five, getting ready consisted of only putting on some earrings. Once i got to the airport i immediately woke up because it was so crowded! Good thing it was so early and i was sleep deprived because it kept me from freaking out and worrying about missing my flight. I actually made it to the gate at the PERFECT time. It honestly couldn't of been better. I got there the second they were boarding my exact number. Of course once i was on the plane i didn't want to sleep. So i worked on some scholarship stuff (which i'm not doing a very good job at keeping up on) and then eventually took a short nap. I woke up feeling nauseated though.. this lasted all through my one hour layover and the next flight. The layover was fine i just got on my laptop and looked at stuff on Barnesandnoble.com. On the second flight i had the privilege of sitting next to a fine young black gentleman (and being from Utah i'm not used to that cause the only black person i know is Jeron and he is only half). It made me nervous cause he was kind of cute so i just listened to Water for Elephants on my kindle. Once i got off the plane my mood was immediately lightened and i forgot about all the worries in the world because i could feel the warm atmosphere and the sun drenching my skin with vitamin D. Mmm seventy degree weather is a wonderful thing after being in cold dreary Utah. Although this wasn't the only highlight of getting off the plane. I felt like a superstar because we exited the plane on a pair of "air stairs". You might be wondering what these are. Air stairs are what all the super cool people in movies exit planes on. You know the stairs coming out of the airplane? Anyway i thought that was sweet.  The long journey is over now and i am enjoying some nice relaxation time in the sunny California.

Tis' the Season

Christmas was great this year! I have always favored Thanksgiving over Christmas but i think i am beginning to feel the other way around. This year i was at my moms. My moms sister Laura and her family came up to visit from Arizona. It was great to visit with them and my aunt is a lot of fun! We did a lot of cooking, watching movies, and playing games. I discovered a new movie that i really like though! On the night of Christmas i watched It's a Wonderful Life with my step dad and uncle Tim. It was a love story so i of course liked it. I love anything with a love story. I also really liked it because it was about the true meaning of Christmas. I know we all hear that so much but i respect the people who don't just hear it but act on it. I'm glad i discovered this movie and it will forever be a Christmas favorite of mine!

I'm bad at making decisions, especially huge life changing ones!

This is my first post on my blog.. I chose this to write about because it has been on my mind! I am at that faithful age where you apply for college. I applied to BYU, The University of Utah, and Utah State. I don't think i will be going to Utah State (none of my friends are going there and it would be BORING in Logan without some good friends). So that leaves me with BYU and The U. I have received an acceptance letter from The U, but BYU on the other hand doesn't let anyone know until February. So in the meantime i am left here wondering what the heck to do!!!! It seems as if all my friends are going to The U. But i find myself secretly wanting to go to BYU. My dad wants me to go there way bad and i have wanted to go there for the past few years! The U didn't ever seem like something i wanted to do until recently. So i guess i will just have to wait patiently until February and see where the wind takes me! <3
